Over the past seven years the foundation has awarded over 11 thousand dollars in academic scholarships. Last year, our scope expanded to include athletics and arts funding as well as general school initiatives and we granted over $5,200 to the school for programs like ACT test sponsorships, new band uniforms, new weight room equipment and campus beautification.

The Longhorn Scholarship Foundation is a non-profit, school support organization primarily funded by Westwood High School graduates and faculty who are committed to sustaining the rich legacy of our community schools. We know how important it is for children to have dedicated, quality educators who genuinely care about their futures and to have those educators in Westwood community schools.

We all have memories of the people who supported us during our Westwood journey.  That is why we know that we must keep children engaged in education by keeping extra-curricular activities adequately funded and by providing programs which allow scholars to graduate as college- or career-ready adults.
