Hi, this is Alvin Epps Walker (’77), LSF President. Welcome to our new website.
The Longhorn Scholarship Foundation is a non-profit, school support organization primarily funded by Westwood High School graduates and faculty who are committed to sustaining the rich legacy of our community schools. We know how important it is for children to have dedicated, quality educators who genuinely care about their futures and to have those educators in Westwood community schools.
We all have memories of the people who supported us during our Westwood journey. That is why we know that we must keep children engaged in education by keeping extra-curricular activities adequately funded and by providing programs which allow scholars to graduate as college- or career-ready adults.
We invite Westwood graduates and former faculty to join us in keeping the legacy alive by becoming a member or by simply donating to the foundation’s mission! We also invite you to comment via this website or by contacting us at the addresses below.
